Rosie holds a special place in our Wild At Heart- heart. She visited us in Sweden 2 years ago, during our temporary pop-up in Gothenburg. And immediately fell in love with Luna Bea Bride's La Mer. The perfect match with her personal style and wishes.
What should a wedding dress radiate for you? Confidence
What does a wedding dress mean to you? For me, it was important to show my style and who I am. I wanted to feel like myself on my wedding day, but an extra special version of me!
Did you have certain expectations in advance with a wedding dress? Did they come out? As a fashion designer myself, I always know or have quite a specific idea of what I am looking for - the trouble is finding that exact idea sometimes!! But luckily this time, Luna Bea had already made the perfect dress for me! The style, silhouette and fabric was everything I was hoping for and more.
How would you describe your style in 3 words? Minimalistic, clean & modern
What made your dream dress perfect for you? It was simple, elegant and timeless - I knew I would love it in years to come (which turned out quite lucky as our day was postponed a year due to the pandemic!!). I love that it felt modern and timeless at the same time. The silk felt so luxurious, and I loved the movement & volume it created. The silhouette was so flattering and really made me feel incredible!
What were your expectations of a bridal boutique?
I didn't really know what to expect as I visited a pop up in Göteborg, Sweden!
What did you like most about your experience at Wild At Heart?
The girls!! They were so lovely, welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable about the brands. We visited during covid so it was a bit of a strange time for all of us, but the girls made it feel special and we were treated to bubbles and lots of laughs. Also it was decorated so beautifully - especially for a pop up event! I loved that Wild At Heart stocked lots of different varieties of styles and brands, and a lot of modern dresses which I was finding quite difficult to find elsewhere.
What does a wedding mean to you? To me, our wedding was about celebrating our love with all of our closest friends and family. Nothing too traditional, and wanted to make it personal to us - lots of food, aperol & dancing the night away!
Who were all present? We had around 50 guests, immediate family and our closest friends. We were lucky enough to have friends and family travel from all over the world to come and celebrate with us in Italy. We moved away from the UK to Sweden a few years ago, & our guests came from China, Canada, USA, and all over Europe - and for that we are so grateful.
What was the highlight of your wedding? We had a fairly small intimate wedding, and we wanted to make it personal to us with my husband's sister performing the ceremony which we wrote together. We had our friend read a beautiful poem, my brother was our ring bearer & we wrote our own vows. All of these little personal touches really made our ceremony so perfect to us. It's so hard to pick a highlight as my cheeks hurt from smiling the entire day! The location, the dinner, the cocktails, the dancing & the midnight pizzas just to name a few... But honestly all of our best friends and family being in the same room was what truly made it the best day of our lives!
What advice would you give to brides-to-be? Don't let old fashioned traditions stop you from doing what you want to do! The day is about the two of you and what you want ❤️ Everyone's view of what a wedding is and what is stands for is different, but at the end of the day it should just be a celebration of love no matter what!
Would you like to share something else about your wedding day? Getting ready with my beautiful bridesmaids and mum was so special. Surrounded by strong, incredible women who really made the effort to make me feel amazing!
