London Bridal Week – 2023

London has certainly won a place in our hearts, alongside Paris and many other cities. In our opinion, London is the perfect city to stroll through authentic streets with small boutiques, enjoy intimate Jazz cafés and don't forget the English Afternoon Tea with scones.

Our Bridal Week started last Monday. In the morning we took the taxi to Soho House. We were welcomed by Pippa, the designer of Bon Bridé. And we imagined ourselves in a true Modern Bridal Paradise.

New collection Bon Bridé
The new collection is a true feast for the eyes. Pippa also calls her new collection 'modern western inspired'. And this can be seen in the low waist dresses and slightly pointy structures. We were also surprised with incredibly beautiful, new fabrics. In addition to fabrics such as silk and rayon, Pippa has decided to experiment with pleated and raw silk this year. These fabrics give a beautiful chic and authentic effect to the modern dresses. Furthermore, her collection is exactly what we have come to expect from Bon Bridé; modern and somewhat daring with statement sleeves and combinations of multiple layers and fabrics.
Perfect for the cool bride.

Show Made With Love Bridal
In the afternoon we went to the Made With Love Bridal show . Signature cocktails and designer Carla were waiting for us upon arrival. The afternoon started with a runway of the new capsule collection. We saw the new creations presented on different (body) type models, something in which Made With Love is very progressive and we really appreciate it.

The new dresses are exactly as we have come to expect from Made With Love. We are a big fan of 'Winter', a beautiful addition to the current collection with an off-shoulder neckline, sleeves and a more modern and minimal feeling. The new Ryder, Kendall, is also a favorite. Perfect for the bride who likes glamour, a bit Gatsby-esque. We also think the 'Valley' is an ideal addition to the collection and they make a customized model for us with extra lace in the train for an even more romantic look.

New designer, Halfpenny London
The next day we visited Halfpenny London. Possibly a new designer in our boutique. Her showroom and studio are located in one of London's oldest streets. Furthermore, you will find all kinds of very nice boutiques here and there are no cars, making it wonderfully quiet for an afternoon of shopping.

We believe Halfpenny London is an ideal addition to our current collection, because of the combination of a classic and more fashion forward look. The collection also consists of many separate items, so you as a bride can put together your own look. Think of capes, loose sleeves and overskirts. According to the designer, Kate Halfpenny, more than 700 different combinations can be made with her collection. This way you as a bride can really create your own unique bridal look and with minor adjustments you can have a second look on your day! They also work with a beautiful mix of different structures and fabrics, lots of silk and silk organza.

Bridal trends
You see that the boundary between bridal and fashion is becoming increasingly blurred. Bridal designers dare more and today's bride also needs a wedding dress that fits flawlessly with her own unique style. We also see that 'minimal is here to stay', but that it is certainly combined with romantic details.

Avant-garde drama
The boundaries between fashion, art and wedding dresses seem to be increasingly blurring. Some of this season's designers dare to go the extra mile with voluminous silhouettes, balanced with delicate fabrics and modern lines. Cloud-like creations with a flowy train, striking bows and weightless puff sleeves. The most important thing when wearing dramatic styles is an elegant balance of proportions; silhouettes that flatter the feminine shape with a fitted waist, a high slit or an off-shoulder.

Elegant dreaminess
Strip away all the lace and embroidery to reveal the most beautiful fabrics and feminine silhouettes. Feminine simplicity, tender lightness and masterful draping are the key words. The elegance of the dresses is enhanced by the feather-light silk fabrics that fall softly and dreamily and move with the wind and movement of the bride.

Ethereal romance
Dresses made from delicate fabrics combined with botanical embellishments exuded ethereal romance this season. From wild, creeping floral embroidery to lovely petals. Applied to enhance the feminine silhouette.
