The search for your wedding dress can be quite overwhelming, especially with so many styles and choices. But don't worry, with good preparation, it will be a wonderful experience and will help you with your final choice. Here are a few handy tips to prepare for your appointment at our boutique:

Start looking early.

The process of choosing the perfect wedding dress often takes more time than you think. Because the wedding dresses in our collection are handmade, they have a delivery time of an average of 4 to 6 months. Therefore, it is advisable to start looking for your dress at least 9 to 12 months before your wedding. This gives you enough time for fittings and any adjustments during your fitting.

Create a mood board or gather inspiration

Creating a mood board is a great way to gather your thoughts and ideas. Start by looking for wedding dresses that appeal to you – this could be on Pinterest or Instagram, for example. Look for dresses that match the vibe of your wedding and your personal style. A mood board helps you visually understand what appeals to you and what you might not want.

If you create a Pinterest board, you can show and discuss it during or before your appointment. This gives our stylists a clearer picture of your wishes and helps them guide you in the right direction.

Know your budget

Before you get completely carried away by all the beautiful wedding dresses, it's important to first think about your budget. Setting a budget is not only wise, it also helps you use your time in the boutique efficiently. Dress prices can vary greatly, from €3000 to as much as €8000, depending on the designer and different materials. There is no 'right' amount to spend – your budget is personal.

The most important thing is that you choose a budget you feel comfortable with and clearly state this when making your appointment, so that one of our stylists can select dresses that fit within that budget. Don't forget that your budget should cover more than just the dress itself. Think about possible alterations, accessories, and the right underwear.

Consider who you want to bring to your fitting appointment

Choosing the right people to bring to your appointment is an important step in the process. Therefore, bring people who know you well and also listen carefully to what you like and are looking for in a dress.

It is very understandable that you can sometimes feel pressured if you are with too many people. It can therefore help to keep the group small, so that you feel comfortable in your choices. Too many opinions can influence your choice or make it more difficult for you to choose.
