Where is Wild At Heart Bridal located?
Wild at Heart Bridal is located on the Sint Annastraat 282 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The boutique can easily be reached by car and and also by bus or bike from Nijmegen central train station. Cars can be parked either at the parking lot of the store, or close by at ‘De Houtwerf’ or in one of the parking garages nearby (Radboud hospital parking).
When should I begin dress shopping?
We recommend you start looking for a wedding dress 9 to 12 months before your wedding date and purchase a gown 6 to 9 months in advance. This to ensure you’re not rushed with your decision-making. The amount of lead-time varies per designers but this way you will be sure to have your dress on time. We get it, not everything is planned this far in advance. Need your dress sooner? Some designers can meet a tight deadline upon request via a rush order, however rush fees will apply.
Do I need to book an appointment?
We are an appointment only boutique. This way we can give you the personal attention you deserve while finding your perfect dress. Keeping it intimate will help you focus on your style and how you Because we are a small boutique, we only accommodate two brides at a time in separate fitting rooms. What can I expect at my appointment?
An appointment is 1 hour and 30 minutes. All of our appointments include our undivided attention with a one-on-one bridal stylist in a private fitting room. Initial appointments will give you an entire 90 minutes. This gives us enough time to get to know you a little better and for you to browse our racks full of dresses and accessoires. We will learn all about the specific details of your wedding and go through our selection gowns together. After which will we make a selection of gowns to try on your favorites and to see how you feel in them. We of course offer our expertise and recommendations once we know what looks great on you and what your personal style is to make sure no option is left out! If you fall in love and choose your gown we will take your measurements. Then of course, we celebrate!
Who should I bring to my appointment?
Bring the people that know you best and who you want to share this special moment with. We recommend that you do not bring more than 3 people with you as too many opinions can make it harder to find your perfect gown. Also, our boutique doesn’t have that much room for many people, which means that keeping your entourage on the smaller side will be most comfortable for everyone.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We recommend you to wear nude seamless underwear as this is best to wear underneath your gown. You can also bring a strapless or, even better, a sticky bra. We urge you to not wear (or to wear really natural) make-up to keep our gowns clean and free of stains. Also, when determining the length of your gown during a fitting appointment it is necessary to know which shoes you will be wearing or what height they will approximately be. So if you have your shoes already, please bring them with you.
What is the price range of the dresses?
Our made to order gowns range from €1.750 – €5.500 euro with the majority of them between €2.000 and €4.000 euro. If you take a look at the designers on our website, then you can see in which range their designs are priced.
What method of payment do you accept?
We only accept payment by debit card. When you chose your gown you pay a downpayment of 70%, we then proceed to order your dress. You cover the last payment of 30% and eventual costs of alterations when you come to pick up your dress. If you purchase one of our sample gowns, payment will be required in full. Please make sure you give your bank a heads up so that it will allow the payment.
What sizes are your sample gowns?
Our samples range between a size 10 to a size 12 but don’t worry if you do not fall in these size categories. We have our ways to clip a gown to give you an idea of how it will look in your size, and we can order all of our gowns in the right size for you.
Can I cancel my order after I purchased a dress?
All gowns in our showroom are made to order and are made for you by hand at the atelier of our designers. When you have made your first payment we have ordered the dress for you that same week and the atelier will have started working on it. This means you cannot cancel your order.
You found your dream dress (yay!). Now, what’s next?
First of all, congratulations! We are sure that you look breathtaking in your gown! When you have found the dress of your dreams we will measure you and then order your dress in the correct size according to your measurements. It will likely take 4-6 months to arrive so in the mean time you can hunt for the perfect pair of shoes to complete you look! When your dress arrives at Wild at Heart we will contact you straight away via e-mail. You can then either pick it up and have it altered by a seamstress of your choosing or have it perfectly sized by one of our in house seamstresses. If you choose to have your gown altered somewhere else you will pick it up during a first fitting and we will send you a list of seamstresses we can recommend in your area. They might be closer to you then we are and are likely to be more flexible in their time as they have fewer brides to help. The choice is yours!
Alterations are not included in the price of your dress. Since the dress is ordered in a size very close to your actual sizes, usually not much alterations are needed. When you choose to have your dress altered by us, our seamstress will go through your first fitting with you after which she will alter your dress. We then invite you for your (usually) last fitting. The dress should fit perfectly at this time and you can take it home straight away. Ready to get married!
